    So when a local Communications Service Provider (lets call them CSP for short) came to us for advice on PPC, we took one look at their account and realized we could do some great things for them, pay per click-wise.

    This CSP handled both B2B and B2C business, so they had several campaigns for different types of services. We noticed several issues immediately:

    - They were sending traffic to the homepage
    - They had no lead capture form on the homepage
    - Because of that, they had no conversion tracking set up for their PPC
    - They were also utilizing both the content and search networks
    - Some campaigns were nationally targeted, though they only service Central Pennsylvania

      Immediately we got to work on their pay per click advertising. Some of the changes we made included:

      - Consulting with them to develop landing pages tailored to each campaign WITH lead capture forms
      - Setting up conversion tracking
      - Researching more keywords for the campaigns to increase search traffic
      - Testing content network and ultimately deciding against it because of low conversions
      - Geo-targeting campaigns to the correct service areas

        The Importance of Pay Per Click Management

        The point of this particular PPC campaign is to drive visitors to a landing page where they can request a free home value report from a real estate agent. Since the company only had real estate agents in certain areas, the campaign is geo-targeted to only those areas.

        The problem was that although they had someone to update the geo-targets on a daily basis – that’s ALL the person did – they knew next to doing about Google Adwords and PPC strategies in general.

        Now again, this PPC campaign was doing great to begin with – the account had age, authority and great quality scores and conversion rates.

        We love a challenge here at Prospect MX, so our PPC specialist dug in and began analyzing the account. What we discovered was that sometimes all it takes is an extra eye to find those little things that, when tweaked, can have amazing effects on a PPC campaign.
